Ironworkers Local Union 155

Welcome to Ironworkers Local Union 155, Fresno, California. We are a mixed local, performing both reinforcing and structural ironworker work. We were established in March 1914 and have been providing work for our members since inception. Our jusidiction covers a large geographical area of both California and Nevada.

What We Do

• Structural Ironworkers assemble and erect iron and steel framework for buildings, bridges and other large structures.
• Ornamental Ironworkers install metal stairways, window walls, large exterior building panels and handrail.
• Riggers unload and move heavy materials, machinery and equipment using hoists, derricks, cranes and block and tackle.
• Deckers unload, spread and lay out decking for roofing and flooring. The deck is secured by "plugging" it to the structure.
• Reinforcing Ironworkers unload and move reinforcing rods, tie and place rebar for highways, building footings and walls.
• Welder ironworkers perform field welding not limited to 7018 and 232 wire.
• All work is performed outside, year round. This job involves hand/eye/foot coordination, finger dexterity, heavy lifting and working at extreme heights.
